Müller buys Biotiful Gut Health in UK

The agreement to acquire Biotiful Gut Health has been announced by Müller Yogurt & Desserts. Biotiful Gut Health produces kefir-based drinks and yogurts. In 2024, it was the fastest growing brand in the dairy products sector in the UK and has now worked its way into the top 10 British yogurt manufacturers. Müller has been very successfully active in the British market since 1987 and is now taking the next strategic step for sustainable growth with this acquisition, it says.
Dr Manfred Weiss, chief commercial officer branded dairy at Müller, says, “Kefir is the fastest growing segment in the yogurt category in the UK. Biotiful Gut Health is now among the top 10 yoghurt manufacturers in the UK. This is partly due to the high quality and very tasty products, but also to the excellent marketing and broad distribution achieved by the colleagues at Biotiful Gut Health, who are also very well positioned in terms of new product development.”
Biotiful Gut Health has been serving the UK market from its London base since 2012. For the time being, Biotiful will continue to operate independently under the management of Richard Williams, managing director of Müller Yogurt & Desserts. Founder Natasha Bowes will continue in an advisory capacity to ensure a smooth transition.
