What will ensure continued dairy consumption worldwide? Most industry insiders agree that it will be new products, in new formats that aren’t as traditional as your usual yogurt and liquid milk.
This year, it is heartening to see that Food Ingredients Europe’s Innovation Awards are heavily weighted towards dairy ingredients – contenders for the various categories include venerable associated names such as FrieslandCampina, Arla Food Ingredients, Cargill, Chr Hansen and Roquette. Crossovers in innovation show how new products can reach different categories, such as dairy included in bakery, for example.
It’s yet another reason to get excited about going to Paris for FI Europe, in addition to the exhibition. There will be a lot to see in three days. See you all there.
