Graham’s announces support for mental health charities to encourage personal connections

Graham’s The Family Dairy has announced its support for SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health) and Mind as part of #MyGrahamsMoments for the wider £1 million joint funded Dairy UK #MilkYourMoments marketing campaign to champion dairy.

The campaign encourages people to share their special moments of personal connection through their love of milk and great tasting dairy products to help ensure that no one has to face a mental health problem alone. This comes as the Office for National Statistics revealed that almost half (49.6%) of people in Great Britain have reported high levels of anxiety as a result of the coronavirus.

The ‘Milk Your Moments’ dairy campaign in partnership with Dairy UK, the government, AHDB and Defra highlights the importance of human connection, encouraging people to reach out to those they are physically apart from due to social distancing. The campaign is raising funds that will go towards Mind and SAMH in Scotland to enable the charities to continue delivering services and providing information to people experiencing mental health problems at this time.

Robert Graham Snr, chairman, Graham’s The Family Dairy, said: “We are living in challenging times due to being unable to see and have close contact with those we love and care for over the past few months. Like most parents and grandparents across the country, I’ve missed my family.

“That is why I believe everyone will be able to relate to and I hope help support this campaign and raise money for SAMH in Scotland by connecting people through their love and enjoyment of great tasting milk and dairy products”.

Fiona Lewis, Corporate Partnerships manager at SAMH, said: “We are very grateful to Graham’s The Family Dairy for supporting Scotland’s mental health through SAMH. In these challenging times, it’s never been more important for us all to not only look after our own mental health and wellbeing, but the wellbeing of our family and friends.

“At SAMH we know one of the best ways to look after our wellbeing is to connect with others, so it’s fantastic to see Graham’s championing staying connected through the Milk Your Moments campaign. We’re sending a heartfelt thank you from all of us at SAMH.”

Graham’s has created new milk labels on its one and two litre semi and whole milks from 22 June for four weeks, asking its customers across Scotland to share their love for dairy and get involved by sharing special dairy moments of personal connection across social channels using the hashtag #MyGrahamsMoment as part of the #MilkYourMoments campaign.
