Coming back to dairy

Just got back from Food Ingredients Europe in Frankfurt, and I have to say, I was gratified to notice that after a few years of hearing things such as, we’re focusing on energy drinks or dairy alternative products, this year it was all about dairy. How dairy is a nutritious package that consumers trust, and we as ingredients suppliers want to be a part of that good news success story – whether it be as part of a yogurt drink or ice cream or flavoured milk. Manufacturers of cocoa powder, sweeteners, flavours and colours have all realised that their good news, natural products will dovetail well with milk product’s nutrition story. It may be a bit trickier sometimes to make an ingredient fit with dairy’s composition, but it is worthwhile in the end. Breaking down the dairy, dairy ingredients can provide lower cost nutritional boosts to products such as cakes and bars and even chocolate. A good news story!
