Milk Market Observatory launched in EU
The European Union has launched the European Milk Market Observatory, in a bid to offer better observation of the market. “In view of the European dairy Association, the overall objective of a market observatory should be to contribute to the efficient functioning of dairy markets by providing data that allow operators to assess prevailing market circumstances and to formulate an informed view of market trends over the very near future. This would enable operators to adjust their production intentions to fit prevailing and future market circumstances,” notes Alexander Anton, secretary general of the EDA.
