Founded in 1896 in the Dutch city of Alkmaar, Doeschot started as a workshop specializing in the repair of steam engines and tools. Today, after more than 100 years in business, Doeschot still plays a major regional role in the field of general mechanical engineering, repairs and maintenance. And not only regional, you will find our machinery all over the world.
Driven by a passion to be creative in metal, the company has diversified with new top-quality products and services, and has developed into a leading global specialist in the fields of mechanical engineering for the food industry (i.e. cheese treatment machines), scientific research (XRF core scanners), and tunnel fire-fighting equipment.
For the cheese treatment machinery we developed machinery for waxing, coating, washing, scrubbing, drying and labelling. We can call ourselves specialists in the natural ripening of cheese. Naturally, our knowledge of engineering and automation forms an important basis for this. We expand upon this by investing in knowledge of the technology and its application. Doeschot builds and designs various cheese treatment systems in collaboration with robotics specialist FERDAR. The essence of these systems is that the cheese undergoes the specific treatment, but that furthermore the treatment of the cheese, shelf or carrier, box, etc. is performed fully automatically.
Our systems are characterised by being very compact and easy to clean. Furthermore, the price/ performance ratio compares favourably with that of traditional systems.
Furthermore, Doeschot designs, produces and delivers creative solutions and products for interior and exterior construction. We have experience with shop fittings, staircases, stainless steel and steel constructions for roads and tunnels, robotics and hydraulic engineering.
