Apprenticeships showcased at Idea Expo

The dairy industry association of Lower Saxony (LVN) has been promoting apprenticeships and courses of study in the dairy industry at a recent Idea Expo in Hanover. The DMK Group, Uelzena, frischli Milchwerke and Hannover University of Applied Sciences together with the LVN showed how interesting dairy farming is and what perspectives are offered to young people.

“With the support of ten apprentices and their trainers, as well as the University of Hannover, we are meeting the target group of prospective apprentices and students at eye level for the first time. We are very satisfied with the response and the interest of the visitors,” said Kristine Kindler, managing director of LVN.

How does a spray tower work and what happens in the sensor lab? These and many other questions were answered at the joint booth of the Niedersachsen dairy industry. There was information about the diverse education and study courses in the dairy industry. A special look into a dairy opened up VR glasses (Virtual Reality), with which visitors experienced a 360-degree tour of a dairy.
