Wiggensbach dairy employs robot help

German organic cheese dairy, Wiggensbach, has installed a robot which lubricates 500 pieces of cheese per hour with salt and optionally with herbs, beer, wine or must and after the preparing phases the robot puts the cheeses on shelves.

The machine is programmed via a computer tablet, which signals to the machine, for example, which cheese needs to be turned on which shelves, when and how often.

The speed or hardness of the brushes can be changed as well as the amount of liquid used in cheese blending.

In order to receive further signals, such as for autonomous driving, the robot is connected to the floor by a laser and ultrasonic sensors with a steel strip.
